B.J.’s Community Support Grants
The mission of BJ’s foundation is to enhance and enrich community programs that primarily benefit children and families. Grants are awarded to organizations which promote the safety, security and well being of children and families, support education and health programs, and provide community service opportunities.

Mazda Foundation Community Grants
Through the Mazda Foundation, Mazda and its employees work together to proactively help the communities where they live and work. The Mazda Foundation supports programs such as children’s organizations, educational scholarships, food banks, and disaster relief efforts.
William T. Grant Foundation Research Grant
The William T. Grant Foundation supports research to understand and improve the everyday settings of youth between the ages of 8 and 25 in the United States. The grant program is designed to support high-quality research projects that increase the understanding of how youth social settings work, how they affect youth development, and how they can be improved.
Multiple grants averaging from $100,000-600,000 over 2 to 3 years will be awarded. Eligible applicants must be employed at a nonprofit institution, and proposed projects must be consistent with the foundation’s current research interests and address issues that have relevance for theory, policy, and/or practice affecting the settings of youth ages 8 to 25 in the US.
GoGirlGo Grants
The Women’s Sports Foundation created its GoGirlGo! program to give girls in underserved communities access to physical activity. GoGirlGo! grants provide funding for sports and physical activity programs for girls ages 8-17 that are seeking to add or expand program participation opportunities for an underserved population of girls, particularly economically disadvantaged and/or girls from populations with high incidences of health risk behaviors.

I Can Grow Youth Gardens
Burpee Home Gardens is now accepting applications for the 2012 “I Can Grow” Youth Garden Award to support urban school and community gardens across the United States.
Funding: Two grand prize winners will be awarded up to 500 vegetable and herb plants, $2500 in garden supplies, on-site assistance and a video camera to document the process. Three runners up winners will receive 500 vegetable and herb plants and a video camera.
Project Orange Thumb Grants
Project Orange Thumb encourages creative expression in gardening by providing grants to efforts geared toward sustainable agriculture, neighborhood beautification, youth development and community involvement.
Funding Amount: $5,000
Legacy Grant Program: Finish Line
The Finish Line Youth Foundation (FLYF) supports youth athletic and wellness programs that place importance on living a healthy lifestyle, bolstering their confidence and leadership skills, and teaching them the importance of teamwork.
Grant Amount: $10,000-75,000.
Healthy Habits Small Grants
Healthy Habits Small Grant Program funds research that identifies mechanisms of influence and/or promotes positive sustainable health behaviors in children and youth. Positive health behaviors may include practicing proper dental hygiene, eating a balanced diet, and engaging in physical activity.
Grant Amount: $50,000 a year for 2 years.
Saucony Run for Good Program Grants
The Saucony Run for Good Program encourages active and healthy lifestyles in children. The Foundation is seeking to fund applicants that initiate and support running and fitness programs for kids.

Grand Challenges Exploration Grant
Grand Challenges Exploration Grant is aimed at encouraging bold and unconventional global health solutions. The topics for Round 8 of the Grand Challenges Exploration Grant include designing new approaches to optimizing immunization systems, exploring new solutions for global health priority areas, and exploring nutrition for the healthy growth of infants and children. The $100 million, five-year initiative is funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
